Rides depart the ranch promptly at 5:00 p.m. You
will be taking a scenic horse drawn wagon ride
on high mountain trails in the Black Hills
National Forest. Be sure to bring your camera to
capture the breathtaking views and native
wildlife along the way. We take a couple of rest
stops for the horses, giving you the opportunity
for photographs or to just stretch your legs.
The rides are approx. 1 hr. long.
Then we return to the
ranch where you will be eating your cowboy supper in the oldest barn
in the Black Hills. Built in 1874 out of hand-hewn
logs, the Rafter J Bar Ranch and Barn were a
stop-over in the old west for the famous
Cheyenne to Deadwood Stagecoach run.
